Got four off the Endrick in two trips. Never got round to fishing the Leven due to a f--ked up knee! It did most of my fishing in for the season.

Grim season on the Leven. I did well up until the end of May , but it was all downhill after that. Managed one more fish in August but , despite putting in the hours , I don't think anyone could argue that the remainder of the season was a great disappointment. Nightime seatrouting was largely a waste of time due to the high water levels for a greater part of the summer / autumn months , but very few trout were taken during the day in those conditions either. There was a wee run of small trout throughout October , but they were scant recompense for the lack of summer salmon , grilse and decent sized seatrout.
Time for a change? There's one ongoing at the moment , and it's not for the best.

A lot has been said and done, does the assocciation need more upset for now? I for one would like to see how they tell the members how the season went? Great, Good, Fair or Poor either way it will be interesting! K MacC

Who will they get to replace him? now that will be a very hard job, Dougie was invaluable to the association with all his contacts and the respect of his fellow anglers who have known him for years. I have a feelling that there will be a few more big tickets not being taken next year. I would love to know the whole truth behind the resignation. I wish him a very well earned retirement from the association.

But that of course will all depend entirely if the Master allows it to be Told to the Membership!! And of course it will all depend on how the Membership see it from their points of view, because surely two head bailiffs cant be wrong! And the Chairman/Secretary Right!! AL

I'm hearing now that the river is running at weekend level now.
Think the snow on the mountains at the top end of the loch could do with some thawing out.
