Just that the present Chairman will be standing down in the next two years, but he will still be holding on to his secretaries post as it is the only one that pays him a wage!
And the (LLAIA) will now be seeking to join a District Salmon Fisheries Board. Cant understand this now as the Chairman & Committee have always been negative and dead set against it since taking office, even although its always been in their Constitution to seek a membership of one.

Think you would find that because llaia already own fishings on the endrick if the crown wanted a district salmon fishery board they would be members automatically

But as soon as they first purchased their first piece of the River Endrick some years ago they would in fact become "Owners". And even then their attitude towards becoming members of a DSFB were on the negative side, so why the BIG change of heart now?? AL

AL Word has it that sooner rather than later the Clyde system will be run by a fisheries board and we are all already aware what plans the LLAIA have for the Clyde and it's other tribs. It would appear that for long enough they have resisted calls for a fisheries board and they now know the writing is on the wall. They could at least clarify their position to their members. To the lay man it looks like many clubs run in the fashion of local authorities in that they put their own interests first rather than those of the people who matter.

He is well-known for rubber-earring questions of that nature no matter who is asking them AL

Its an old picture kf but i think it captures the essence of Urban Fly Fishing. Here's its neibhour. Skippy If this is the guy I'm thinking about from some years ago, did'nt he have a reddish beard? Though have'nt saw him for many a long time now, like so many of the old faces who just got pissed off with the fishing and went elsewhere! Still some come back, others dont!

Hi Alexander, yes i did used to have a reddish beard but im afraid the years have taken their toll and im now sporting what can only be described as Sophisticated Silver . I cant place you but then again unless you introduce yourself how could i ?.Anyway whoever you are i wish you a successful season on the River Leven. Its a great River which i spent hundreds of happy hours on trying to catch Salmon & Sea-Trout and despite what some folk say I.E. the old days were this that or the other i personally always found the river an extremely challenging water to catch fish on. I always take a keen intrest on whats happening on the river and i see the 2010 season has started with a BANG ! 3 Springers off in march. Here's a blow-up of the tail of the first fish off the river. The second fish has a similar tail and the third march Springer unfortunately the tail is not in view. Now in my day a Leven Springer was a sight to behold and nothing like these fish you guy's are getting now.Is this the norm ? perhaps some of you guys that fish the river now can enlighten me. Skippy Aye skippy as you very well pointed out this tail of the Springer from the Leven, it just disnae look very braw for a fresh fish! I'd say lookin' at it from the way the guy is holding it its as if he disnae want anybody tae see the rest of it! But he's still tryin tae highlight the state o' the tail, the skin looks kinda slack in a 'tween his fingers and the bottom o the tail is mair akin tae a stockie rather than a Springer! Tae say its a Springer jist by that photie is very Doobious AL
