Yes ptg, I remember seeing this photo also posted as an 18lb salmon . Get your facts right pal, I never claimed what the fish were on the other forum Hey, it was posted on the salmon forum, and there was no mention of it being a sea trout either pal .

Forgot to mention the fish also had a flat tail, so in fact this information is a load of bull, www.ogmoreriver.com/info/seatrout.identification.php So could you guys that are so sure it is a Salmon give a better definition as I am a bit confused now even after 40 years fishing for Salmon & Sea Trout.

Funny how a thread like this can stir the memories. Many moons ago there was an "inconclusive" picture of a fish claimed to be a sea trout of similarly big proportions,if not moreso. It was published in the T&S magazine I think, or perhaps the salmon, trout and sea trout publication before it went out of circulation. There was a flurry of correspondence with claim and counter claim. This was the part of a series of correspondence where the late Hugh Falkus proclaimed "If thats a sea trout - my c..ks a Lobster" I Forgot the picture of the fish but not that great quotation.... ;D
