I used to fish Lochlane years ago, but have been to Templemill every opening day for the past 15 years or so apart from about about 4 years ago when it was flooded out on the 15th ,had a lot of success both places .

Lochmor, How are you fishing for the grayling - fly or trotting? I catch plenty of grayling on the fly during the trout season at Templemill but only ever manage the odd fish during the winter with the trotting gear ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Norm

What I do is ,have a guess at the depth ,have a cast if am not touching bottom slip the float up six inches and try again, I keep doing this until I am happy I am dragging bottom . It is no use fishing at say 6ft when the fish are at 8 ft and you are fishing over their heads. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)
