wrong there ptg, yes the river is full of fish but these are not autumn fish. they are spring ,summer and autumn fish. most months where above average till you get to october then the numbers caught plummet. the runs where early 4-6 weeks so october should have been a bumper on the upper river but it was crap. november has just not happened. that is why there is so much udn about and so many coloured fish there has been no fresh autumn fish almost all the salmon have been in the river for months. apart from a wee run of grilse last week in october nothing has came through peebles that has not been in the river for several months.

first i am not saying the autumn run did not turn up i am saying the november run never turned up. yes the burns are full of fish one streach of mannor is full of salmon. second... please go to tweed page, go to tweed news, click on diseased fish, THEN tell me it is not UDN we have at the momment. anyway how have you got on this autumn ptg i still have noyhing in the freezer for xmas was out today not a thing only fished twice this autumn jamie and i was lucky enough to get fish. fished at yair just over a fortnight ago and had two and lost twice as many, and fished hoddom on the annan last tuesday and had 3 and lost one! the tweed is finished for this year mate, should be shut!

totally agree out again today had 2 at 16&11 both gravid the big one had eggs pouring from her think i will be givivg it a miss after tommorrow

Well looking at the weather forecast the last 3 days might be the only chance you have looks like we are going to get a flood, mind there's no fresh fish down here so don't hold your breath looking for a clean fish at Peebles.

am for thowing in the towel anyway, never seen a november like this in all my life. seen plenty of fungus before but not a river so chocked with fish and next to no fresh or semi fresh amongst them. time to leave them alone me thinks

Fished all day and all we had were two foul hooked dead fish! Now that's about as bad as it gets! Water temp this morning 48 degs last year same time 32 degs, rise of water coming but I can't see it making any difference. Never mind holidays coming up.
