Hi one guidduglucy. As you say ma fish had na drunk salt water for a while but it would surely have been 30lb when it came it.

Aye it would be a 30lber when it came in and they don't loose as much weight as some folk reckon, still a nice fish and released to do his job. guid lad!

Looks wild to me, bet it was wild with the flee in its mouth What weight did you record it at bc? 43" equates to about 30lb. Well done and who cares what anyone else thinks ;D

I reckoned it was 28-30lbs, put it in the book at 29lb, I want to leave the 30lber for another day.

looks wild to me well done cracking fish,I was hoping to fish some of the ayrshire rivers next season might give the girvan a bash

Looking at this fish through the net and being half submerged in water there would be no indication as to it being anywhere near a farmed fish.
Its a pity the Salmon was'nt as clear as the Daiwa Salmon Reel is!

A stole the pics of the reels off the site, popped them on ebay- been offered a tenner so far- I hope your not planning to bring them to the Dee?

Cheeky bar stewards the lot of you . Great reels those Daiwa's, what more could you want, reliable, and a cracking ratchet. They would make a good reel for the boat, the ghillie would know when the fish was taking line and he could row after it or do ghillie's do any rowing nowadays ;D BnC
