38lb fish caught today on glendelvine. If you go to fish tay latest catches and scroll down to bottom of page you will get bob whites blog. Photos on that

Lets fly fish calculator has 4 results which show to the nearest lb 33lb 37lb 38lb and 42lb. A cracking silver fish, look at the size of the wrist and tail

The only reason I asked if it was weighed is that I would have thought the fish would stand a good chance of winning the Malloch trophy.

No criticism from this corner. Regardless of what you meant, your entitled to your opinion and thats what a forum is all about. It is a cracking fish regardless of what weight it is. There are too many folk hung up on weights.

I hear it was caught spinning, so the malloch trophy is out, but a remarcable fish never the less. Well done that angler, one of 3 fish he caught, all on his first days salmoin angling i hear!
