I'd have weighed it! I have a mate who landed a fish of 117cm and it was in the early 40's It does look on the slender side tho, so 38 is probably bang on.

Looking at the length of the fish and the size of the wrist / tail it seems like a pretty close estimate to me.
Belter!

ok lads, on reading this, this fish is a monster, a said it disny look 38 pun but wit dae a know, anyway thats no ma point, my point is this was his first ever days salmon fishing, beginners luck and all that, i know ive had it happen to me, wich is why im into this game, anyway, why is he wearing that famous jumper if its his first ever day, he caught 1 before this aswell at 14 pun i think, i wouldnt imagine giving him a jumper then 2 minutes later he catches this monster, whats the story with the jumper? or is that the ghillie holding it?

if you know the size of stevie you will know its a big fish. But if you can only criticize why bother posting cant expect good comments all the time and i think madkeens question is a legitimate one, gotta expect criticism some times even though his isnt any criticism, jesus.... huv a ate a dictionary, doesnt look 38lbs to me but pictures can be deceiving, there i go again with these big words ;D How many verified 38lb'ers have you seen?
