I wouldn't be bragging about them anyway. Bit out of condition and probably still spawning. They probably wouldn't know what a good fish is. We put 5lb+ trout back in much better condition than that Bigfish

Good job catching them on a day like today.

The top one has a hump on its back like my Great Aunt Nellie. Regardless of whether they could be doing with another week or two or not, it just shows the class of trout that are still about. On a slightly more serious note, I had a look at the Tay Protection Order and the Isla seems to be excluded. Did they miss the boat at the time?

now now children! mistake or no mistake, bonnie fish. everyone has a view and they are entitled to it. personally i would of put them back to fight another day but i'm sure they were tasty not as pretty as my river Eden brownies.

nice pics stevie. fish look fine and looks like you caught them just b4 they started feeding on the parr . river trout of this size would definately be feeding on other fish ... i cant see the harm of taking a few out of the river and as no rules were broken and the fish are being eaten ... well done yer da and his mate ..and better luck next time stevie
