Thought I hooked an early Sewin today the way the fish fought and jumped. But was a nice brown just under 3 pounds.Fish returned and swam away strong. sewinfly..............

Hi Sewinfly,
I think you were probably correct with your first thoughts, I would say that was a seatrout, but last years model.

Quite possible buntinbee . A spent fish that had done the business due to the leanness in his flanks.

Had quite a few grayling and some nice browns as I was trotting for grayling with the centrepin. Then hooked into something much bigger out of the water like a torpedo came this salmon which went up the pool and down. After nearly 15 minutes the salmon came off which was a good thing. I suppose 3 Ib line and a size 16 it had to happen as the hook straightened out. sewinfly.............
