I understand that Ayrshires first springer was landed on the Doonfoot beat on Saturday. The fish weighed 6 lbs and was sea liced.
Perhaps more of us should be out on the river.

It's good to see there are fresh fish running this early in the year. The perfect reason to get back home and drop my washing in while I go for a cast any views on the best value permits? I usually take a Dreghorn permit on the Irvine. Steve

I get the Irvine water permit, £20 Scanny. Deputy Dawgs the man for further details.
Previously had Maybole and Garpin permits for the Girvan, around Crosshill/Daily area. Around £50-£60 for the season.
