This my dad's pattern. It was mentioned in a recent T&S article on the Tyne. It was originally done with bucktail, but nowadays it is always polar bear Tail: polar bear, orange micro flash body: silver or pearl tinsel, silver rib hackle: long cock beard hackle JC cheeks

Nice wee shrimpy looking pattern Ross although the one in T+S doesnt seem to bear much resemblance to that

i know, the guy on the tyne added a pheasant tippet
its another fly I would say was born to be dressed on a treble 10-16. We used to fish it on a long shank 12
dress it with yellow instead or red and gold.
its a sleek wee fly.
