Any of you guys used this new 14ft model from Wychwood. Looking for some feed back, action, casting etc. Finish is great and the price is good.

Well I bought the rod with out looking at it and at £105, I was impressed. Not being use to a D/H as most of my fishing is with a 10ft Gem for sewin in Wales, even my mate Jim said I was putting out a good line on the D/H. The control with the rod to mend the line was far easier as the river was 18" up.The line I used was the new airflo with the 14 ft changeable tips. Line and rod seemed to work well together.Pity I have no more salmon fishing in Scotland for a while now.

Well the rod had a good slating in T&S this month, totally agree with the rod being tip heavy, tried it with my enigma reel but still not balanced but when I put the LA 9 wt Viscount Disc LA on the reel it performed much better. To be honest those guys testing are a 10 and are blxxxy great to say the least and I am a 2 as with most of my fishing is with s/h.
But to me the rod is finished well, if it was crap I would say. For the person who does not use a D/H all the time I would still say the rod is good value for money-they seem to miss the point.I know the airflo came out tops in the less than £200 range, but you can pick this rod up now for £75 !!!
