Had an 18lb plus fish returned yesterday 40 inches and deep so maybe a touch bigger, there was some very large fish running yesterday most bars of silver and a few coloured ones good amount of fish caught and lost there seemed to be a good average size also experienced anglers reporting seeing some thirty pound plus fish seen great to see!The best I have seen this season in the river.

Rivers gone mad, more fish than you could point a shitty stick at One well known beat is claiming to be the most productive in the British Isles as we speak...,couldn't comment on that as I only use it after dark

I had three fish yesterday to 18lbe on a size 12 copper red allys, the same fly took another 3 on the same beat for a different angler, and another fish of 16lb this morning massive run of fish in the last few days, saw quite a few very large fish some fresh and quite a few coloured all mine returned as not quite clean enough for me.

no chance a load of pony a good beat all right as there are many, the tweed will have twice the run of the tyne or more even, its very well looking at one period of time but then look at the average over say a 4 week period and it will tell a different story, the tyne fishes best whens theres water and there hasnt been much of it this, last year was great for that reason, the beat i think tone is talking about fishes best in normal to low water levels once we have some rain check out who is doing the best then, it will be the north and main tyne beats and waters meet fishery there is a obstruction of a pass on that beat and the fish hold there in big numbers in lower water, but they dont hang around when theres water the famous pools on on the big rivers will have large numbers of residents built up in them from the summer.

Tyne stuffed with fish at the minute,I had a couple of grilse in 3 casts this afternoon and Bywell have passed 500 for the season Theres not mant beats in England could match that, mind at 300 quid a day it needs figures like that to justify the cost!

A wading stick is very useful on the North Tyne Steve, theres some scary stretches around Bellingham Flee wise, the usual suspects work well, cascade, willie gun etc

I never managed to make it on Monday night, instead of heading up from Leeds I was southbound to Ayelsburry.
Always next year!
