Be nae fish in the Tyne Tone, they have all gone up the coast and into the Tay They come doon the coast man dafty,all they have to do is pass the Dee,Spey,Tay and Tweed and they get to us.The big 5 eh? There will be nane left for the Tyne by the time they have got to the Tweed Did i ever tell you that i have caught 2 of the keilder fish on Murthly, both micro tagged, 1 from the Tees and the other from the Esk Oh aye and i chapped both of them for being so stuppid

1 sleep to go for us water level just above summer level according to sepa, must get the fly rod ready.
It's blowing a howling gale at the moment though lets hope it peters out before tomoz

Just had a trot to the river,if anyone has fishing booked sorry but forget it. On my own guage its 11ft,theres people from Cornwall and Australia queing up for the big waves.Its frigged people Seriously,if you are traveling to fish the Tyne,Dont brothers,its well knackered.Still rising as we speak and its massive. Falkus would say fish the "lay bys",but this is the Tyne,there arn't any and even if there were,theres deed sheep in them. Sorry folks,just the facts Hoping to save you a wasted journey. Tone
