Both sets are to your usual high stds of tying Dave and look the dogs dangles.
I like the Orange and magenta version, think that will do well at the backend in slightly coloured water.

They are both great looking patterns.
The Wilkinson is a great fly, especially for fresh fish.
Where did you get the inspiration for the Orange and Magenta Flamethrower Dave? Its not 2 colours that you see often used in Atlantic salmon flies, but it is used for the steelheads.

The orange and magenta f/thrower came about by way of a few experiments. I've been using a lot of pink in my flies since last season, and been having some pretty good results with them. I tied a few temple dogs with orange and pink wings, and really liked the look of them, so from there I tried adding it to a few other patterns. the flamethrower has been a reliable fly for me and for people I tie for, so it was a natural progression for me to add pink to one at some stage. I just like the way the 2 colours blend when in the water.

I will have to try a few of these, as I am intrigued to see what they look like in the water.
