My favourite version of the Cascade. especially in larger Tubes and Trebles/Doubles. Even on a large Single hook like a 3/0, it looks fine Basic pattern has a Hot Orange Antron Butt, a white or, sometimes, a green underbody, and a Mirage UTC Pearl Body on varnished tube etc with gold or Silver wire around. Otherwise same as normal Cascade tying There's somthing about this version in which I really feel 100% confident. It is a first choice all season long fly for me unless specific conditions/advice/experience dictate otherwise. I would happily fish it on any Salmon river where I was without guidance etc tweedbunnet

If you ever get the change at Winter Steelhead fishing on any of our coastal rivers, be sure to bring these along. Done on double silver Salar** hooks ..... this has been my all time winner for 'hook ups.' Fred
** Which are now damned near impossible to find .... :>)

Fred,
I have these tied in all sizes from big heavy tubes down to size 12's
Also like to tie a Green Highlander in this style - lt looks very attractive with a Green tinsel Body and Yellow Hackle.
