is that UV Black Dubbing you are using? I quite like that stuff but it doesn't half bed down very tightly with very little pressure.
I have also started using Black Mobile in place of Peacock Herl as an overwing on the Long Winged Flies and it seems Ok to me.
I am also trying various Black Mylars (Diamond Braid and stuff from packaging ) on the bodies of flies as they shine differently from Holo etc
Will try to post some pics of these in due course

TB its called ice wing fiber and its a hareline product, come in a big packet and looking at the name its meant for wings but dubs nicely as well. We're spoiled for choice with the amount of synthetics on the market just now look forward to seeing your creations ;D
