What is the score on the Forth these days?
What is the annual catch rate over past few years?
Must be a great productive river when it is now nearly £50 for a Day ticket for a visitor's ticket. Is it a good deal on the Forth when compared to other salmon rivers that you can fish.
I take it you need to book in advance as places must be limited? Is there a ballot for tickets as in other rivers/beats?

T.B. have a look at this. www.salmonfishingforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14546&page=17The Forth and Teith combined make for a decent catch return and is now actually well run and policed. I would guess around 100 salmon from the Teith which is now the place to go in the spring with the Forth not coming into its own until April these days. A lot of improvement work is planned for the coming season and beyond with the management team putting in a heck of work to improve the experience implementing initiatives previously unheard of, the first of which being an opening day ceremony and march through Callendar headed by Ian Botham followed by competition and prizes with all proceeds going to charity. Here are some historical statistics. www.stirling.gov.uk/index/leisure/countryside/fisheries/fishery_statistics/statistics-2009.htm On the question of ticket prices, there has been a fierce debate about local v visitor prices. You have fished the river previously and it still gets busy during the obvious periods. However it does offer a decent chance of a fish for your money. During the autumn there were no big days but a steady 10/15/day more the way of things. If I were you I would be more inclined towards a season ticket, its probably handy enough from Embra. ;D
