Great fly for grilse on Galway weir tied on small doubles. Haven't tried it for springers but confident it would work. My first choice pattern there.

Nice flee Ross, what do you prefer to fish the flee on, dressed hooks or tubes?

If pushed, I'd have to say a Waddington, Tony. Its been good to me.
I also like it tied puppy dog style on small tubes. I use small doubles as a dropper.

Nice fly Ross I should really give the green more of a trial. Somehow I think of green for early season but I know you do alright in the summer with it as well.
