I have not been tying much of late, and haven't been posting many flies on the forum. All that's about to change ;D Here are a few to start with Green and grey scandi style on size 9 silver salar  Black green highlander on black salar  Black highlander on Sprite double  Black highlander on salar double (white head). apparently a successful variation having a white head.  And a wee collection of them.  I hope you like them. Dave. |

Nice flies indeed
Very interesting to see the white heads on the fly as I am a sucker for a red head on a Green Highlander. But don't ask me why that is.
I think many of us like the look of a Green Highlander, especially in the modern style. But I wonder how many actually fish with it.
It is claimed no to fish so well, the further south one goes. Is this really the case or is it an myth?

Very nice indeed Dave-First Class. Would I right in presuming they are more in line with the Granbo style of Fly, than the Frodin or others of the Scandi style?

AL If I'm honest both flies are tied in my own way, the green and grey , however, is my take on the scandinavian low water summer version. |
