Sweet! Is it tied on a bottle tube? Did you tie the wing in parts - if so, what hair have you used?
Similar to the Arndilly Monkey - although I'm assuming you've not tied the body?

It was tied on an Aluminium slipstream tube. The wing is tied in two parts, and the hair is from a piece I purchased from ebay, that was sold as Bear. You are right, there is no body dressing. Never seen an Arndilly Monkey, the idea behind it was using colours that are good for the grilse, black n blue.

Neil,
So far, just the loop bottle tubes.
sloggi uses smaller ones though, which sound good for summer.

Braw flee mo, i was given a similar flee by an Austrian tenant about 20 years ago, his one had a brown under wing and i'm pretty sure it was tied by the then ghillie on cairnton on the Dee, he used it on 1/2" plastic tubes with a wing of about 2" long & 1" plastic tubes with a wing of about 3 1/2" long and had great success with them, if i can find the flee i'l post it on the forum.

Nice monkey Neil I like the blue flash in the wing, if your after 9mm b/tubes ebay is a good source and at a decent price. The loop bottles are good but I find them a little heavy for some of the waters I fish.
