What is the largest number of salmon you have had on a fly before it fell to bits? I ask because I have had more than 20 on the left hand one in the picture below, and about 10 on the right hand one (the one on the left was "lost" for a season.) I wonder if the fellow that tied them will own up to having done so?

I was thinking about the same thing recently. Over the last season I found that some flies only lasted a day and were looking a bit scanty yet others last much longer. How long should a fly last and who sells the best ones.

I think my average is about 20 - 1 as well Oh sorry twenty flies to one fish. K MacC

Deadly wee flies Laxdale...we fish loads if them on the Helmsdale too.. That's the great thing about coneheads as apposed to standard tubes - they take a lot more abuse to the head and last way longer.
