Was at one of the larger Angling Centres yesterday and got a good look at all the various rods on display.
Came across the new 15ft Hardy Artisan
Now artisan to me means a skilled worker, a craftsman etc.
This Hardy Artisan costs £1599
That's a good £1519 more than what I paid for my last rod.
Or put it another way, my rod plus a week of top class salmon fishing.
I think Hardy's have really lost the plot. I think they would sell a lot more rods and make a bigger overall profit it they pitched their rods at about Bruce and Walker prices plus 20%
Anyone else care to defend their pricing strategy?

Some people will, but everyone is feeling the pinch now and i doubt they will sell many? Crazy money for what it is, a fishing rod!! most tackle prices are crazy now,i learned that the expensive way
