This year alone I have managed to have two Trion s and the Partridge S reel pack in on me. I also have the Loop Multi which has been in the water a lot more than the others when deep wading but is still going strong, for a workhorse reel or second reel may be worth having a look at.

I made my purchase the Guideline Quadra S5 Does anyone(underghillie) know how to change the reel from right hand wined to left hand wined? Martin this might help. How to change the direction of retreive QUADRA 24 to 68 1. Push the spool from the frame by using your thumbs. 2. Unwind the cover on the main shaft (# 31 housing cap) 3. Remove the Clip-spring from the main shaft. (29) 4. Turn the reel upside-down and shake out the One-way bearing (#28 one-way-clutch) 5. Turn the o/way bearing upside down, so that the side that was facing upwards, now is facing down. 6. Push and align the o/way bearing so it fits into the slots. QUADRA 811 to 1012 1. Remove spool from reel by unscrewing the relase spool cap. (44) 2. Pull the spool off the shaft. 3. Remove the E-clip from the main shaft. (36) Then pull off the thin teflon washer. (35) 4. Carefully remove the One-way bearing (34) in the centre of the bearing holder. (32) 5. Turn the reel upside-down and shake out the One-way bearing. 6. Turn the o/way bearing and its housing upside down, so that the side that was facing upwards, now is facing down. NOTE! It is important that the parts are properly fitted into each others slots, before you try to put back the housing cover in place again That should be it now a pile of washers on the table and a phone call to guideline ;D

Do not all the the great salmon anglers wynd with their right hand ;D ;D ;D Is that how you spell wynd to ;D ;D feels alien to me, is a pain when the fish takes and the handle catches your jacket pocket ;D Just checking you were paying attention sorted now. Right hand wined frees your strongest hand for tailing your salmon if your right handed that is ;D

A good solid reel but agree not worth £200 although that's what Loop are saying the retail is for 2010
