what type of rivers are you fishing . small /med / large .. spate. etc... let us know and we will help .
where you from scotland /england/ wales / ireland. etc....

Been fishing the river annick between the kilmaurs and Irvine. I would say it's a small river but I could be wrong. From Scotland but trying to catch the river after a good dose of rain!

Scott. Nothing wrong with what you are doing.. You just have to on the river at the right time. Try cutting your sink tip length by about half, you may well be fishing too deep. Other than that, don't be scared to fish small flies. I will drop your Tay ft's round later in the week. along with a couple of other flees that should get you amongst the fish. Cheers David!!!! After seeing your set up that day I halved my sink tip. Did turn a fish down the windy hole last week, that gave me hope! Appreciate all ur help and of course ur excellent tying skills!!! Rapidly running out of flies lost two in the tree I the windy hole... Started using rapala's in heavy water.. Know ur not a spinning man but am now feart I catch one on that before the fly!!!!! Looking forward to testing ur flies!!
