how heavy are they compared to copper tubes for example

Ross...these crimps are only 10mm long and comparing them to a half inch copper tube, they are lighter and thinner. They are just slightly thinner but slightly heavier than veniard aluminium tubes so a very slim profile can be achieved. A variety of tube liners will fit them also. The photo has made them look more heavily dressed than they actually are. i think you have a point about pics- i always worry that mine look much more heavily dressed on the pics than they do on the tying bench. im sure you will have a few Dee fish on them. on a different note rab, its tough being a hun in aberdeen this week
