I need a fairly heavy reel to counter-balance a 15' Winston DBF; probably 12oz+. It would be nice to find something that (a) has a modern drag and bearings and (b) won't require a mortgage to purchase I'd be grateful for any recommendations I'd be ecstatic if someone has something suitable for sale that I could afford ;D Many thanks.

Men't to say welcome to the forum Thanks, I did look for the newbie's introductions page, but there doesn't appear to be one on this forum.

I would suggest a Cascapedia - a positive modern drag with a traditional feels to it... i have one get on with it very well.
