Stirling council fisheries open day Stirling Council Fisheries are holding an open day on Sunday 28th August 2011. The event will be held between 10.30am and 3.30pm at The Dykes car park, Craigforth, Stirling. Former 3 times world fly caster Scott McKenzie will be in attendance along with other instructors to offer advice/tuition in the art of casting with a double handed rod. Scott will carry out a variety of demonstrations and he will be on hand to pass on handy tips etc. There will be an opportunity to try various rods and lines. This is a unique opportunity and one not to be missed. There will be a variety of stalls and staff from The Angling Centre Stirling will be there offering advice/offers on a whole range of tackle.
There will be a prize draw fora selection of prizes with some of the proceeds going to Strathcarron Hospice. Stirling Council in partnership with The Forth Fisheries Trust will be on hand to explain the life cycle of salmon and to explain the merits of conservation.
Refreshments will be available all day.
The event is free and everybody is welcome.

It would be helpful if I could get some idea of numbers. This will assist in terms of parking/stewarding etc. If you intend coming along can you put on a small post. Look forward to seeing everybody on the day.

Bit short notice for me Tom One must have a busy social calander what? One should have ones manservant cancel ones previous engagements so that one may attend the premier social occasion of the angling season. It may be prudent to have ones chauffeur on standby in case of the the unlikely event that one may unexpectedly find an opportunity to attend.
