I pulled this vid together with the footage I had: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKvpkdnO5PYGreat to meet or re-acquaint with those that joined us on Carlogie. Cheers, Patrick

Cheers UG, As you could tell by the selection of soft drinks located near the hut (ie. the river), Ade and I were a model that the Temperance society would be proud of once you'd left

Hi Madkeen, Normally I nick Ade's flies. But I'm starting to get better at tying- and on Carlogie the fish I had were on my flies (Hairy Mary and Park). And on Commonty - I caught a fish on one of my Cascade mini-tubes (which came last or second last on the SFF TOTM) - so I'm happy. I finally managed to re-pay Ade when he was on Kincardine - as he got a grilse on a size 15 silver stoat I tied - and he also lost a monster. All in all, I might not tie the best fly in the world, but now I have confidence in what I tie. That said - lost fish on Helmie's Dee Monkey and caught fish on Sean Stanton's Red Frances'. But I'll put that down to the fact I didn't have the materials ;D ;D ;D I was amazed at how small a flea I was using when I caught my biggest fish (12lb on a size 15). And then equally amused when I caught a 1.5 lb grilse on a huge 2 inch red carrot (Frances). You never know - that's all I can say. Tight lines, Patrick

But what a great sign that you are doing everything right with your flies Perthshirefisher! Only a matter of time...hope to hear soon of your success.
What flies have you tied? - interested to know given the fishies like them - and if that's the case - so do I!
Regards,
Patrick

I think it's more to do with bombarding them, rather than my tying ;D Hammer them and hammer them again, the odds are bound to turn in my favour ;D Two have took a fly i call the" BM" "illegitimate mongrel" a garish orange and yellow blue black and red head with silver rib affair, and the other took a hairy Mary i tied.
