I was planning on a Spey trip this week but with the river up over 5' and more snow melt to come it seems its a wash of. You could tell i was excited as i actually tied a few flies- im not a Tying tart so its defiantly a needs must situation to get me on a vice A Friend said he would fish a Bourach so armed with one tied up for me on a size 4 double, i set about a few tubes. They should do the trick nicely, the fluffy buggers swim rather well, although i didn't get any takers on one today. With the name meaning mess i found the scruffiest looking bucktail i could.

I even got the fluffy ones to swim upright The colours should work well enough for that elusive springer hopefully.

A bonny flea bud. I fancy them for my summer grilse box with both the orange and yellow wing.

nice work scanny. just for info, they are orange bourachs- the original has a yellow wing you beat me to that Ross, blue tail, blue throat, yellow wing and silver body, great flee in clear water, the orange one is a better flee when the river is carrying a bit of colour. Nice flee's tho Steve

I missed these somehow Steve it might be the scruffiest bucktail you had but the top one looks the pick of the bunch to me.
