Regarding the above line i bought one during the close season, used it this morning and the clear section is suffering from bad memory i gave it a good stretch but it is still very coily, has anyone else got one of these lines and does it suffer from the same problem or does it improve through use.

Send it back, the mach lines are pretty good and should have no memory, i have couple of them and they have no memory what so ever.

The clear lines used to be bad for memory coil, especially in cold water temps. I had one for the trout fishing and it was a pain in the rear when it coiled and wouldn't cast out. That was Cortlands Camo line and a few other guys had the same issue with them.
The latest clear line also a Cortland, that I bought just last year, is much better, so was surprised that Hardy still has a problem with theirs!

E-mailed hardy this morning, they replied back at lunchtime saying that it could be a faulty line and to return it back to them and they will replace it.

That's the kind of service one would expect from Retailers like Hardy. Let us know if they actually replace the line with a good quality line FOC

I bought a clear inter line last year #9 Mach spey line and it had more coils than python on heat sent it back, replaced no probs. Don't trust the welded loop though cut it off and put on a braided one I've seen a few of them going.

Yes that was the first thing i did(cut off the loop)what is your line like for memory now,the one i sent back was the worst line that i have ever had regarding memory virtually unusable
