Never seen so many kelts, Baggots and Kippers (Rawners ) for you further north as what's coming down Tweed this month, can't catch a Springer for them grabbing everything that you throw into the pool, I suppose is a sign of a great spawning season with such a late run and being frozen over for weeks lets hope they make it back as second time spawner's. Had a 12lb tide liced kipper yesterday.

We were the same on the Tay Malcolm, until the water came up, i had 2 fresh Rawners last week one about 15lb and the other about 18lb

I remember years ago they were classed as Ghillies perks even then we weren't supposed to keep them, but now everything goes back rightly so before you all start moaning. Have to say size of Springers is above the average again this year.
