What does the tail consist of? Could you post the dressing?
Cheers

Thanks Again,Now both of these flies do work, the one with the split J/C,saved me from a fishless morning at sprouston on the Tweed, dirty water out the teviot, the tail contains flu orange EP Fibre, the business for murky water, makes the water glow around it.

Cracking fly, really glows. I can really see this working well when there is a bit of colour in the water. Another great tying poshtoshman.

Great fly this one.
I have also been tying a very similar but much simplified version of the Mirage Rocket on Size 6 to 10 Trebles.
Tread - White
Tail - Hot Orange Bucktail Tips
Body - UTC Mirage
Rib - Oval Silver (or red wire as you have used)
Wing/Hackle - A few strands of Angel Hair top and bottom overlaid with a nice White Henny Cock feather to reach the points of the hook.
Head - Black or Red
It's not bad also in the smaller sizes for the Upper Tweed and quite an attractive looking fly to my mind also.
anyway, you get the picture, I'm sure.

Thanks for that PTM, I like your use of the EP fibres.
