The Meggernie is an old flee (1800's) for the river Lyon and was invented by a keeper from the estate of the same name, the flee was preferred in clear water, and the Jock Scott was fished when the water was coloured. I'm sure this flee will catch fish in the late spring and summer. Tony Dressing, Tag. oval silver. Tail. golden pheasant crest. Butt. black ostrich herl. Body. flat silver. Rib. oval silver. Hackle. black. Wing. red, blue and yellow bucktail with brown arctic fox over. Cheeks. jungle cock. Head. black.

underghillie,
I am sure it will catch fish also. Nice attractive mix of colours for late Spring, maybe
Perhaps it is just me but I would prefer it on a bigger hook - so the bend is to about where the end of the Red Bucktail is. It would be interesting to see it tied on a Bartleet or even a Salar Single. Incidentally, what size of single is it tied on?

Its tied on a size 6 double tb, the other leg of the hook is hiding in the snow.
