Haven't come across these ones before Lawrence Are they seatrout or stealhead patterns Heggli can be found in Mike Dawes fly tyers companion Norwegian pattern used for all species including sea troot and salmon The original in the book shows a mallard wing with Jungle cock cheeks Red Abbey I'll have to check it's an old fly

I've always been aware of it but forgot where it came from.
According to Fly Patterns - An International Guide by Taff Price
Red Abbey came from North American, before world war one, origin originally used for trout, adapted for successfully for salmon used extensively in Quebec
