To green for me but you have made a braw job of job of it A Likewise, there wasn't that much green in the original fly, mainly the body and hackle. Neat job though

Tried this in fat-back style and seems to end up a bit unruly but I would imagine the movement in the water will be nice.

Did you tie all the wing layers in the fatback style?
I'm not that convinced about this style. Will the fox not compress in the current leaving the jungle cock standing up like a fool?
I'd like to see some video or photos of them in action or I could try and make one of these flowing water tanks to try them out

I'd like to see some video or photos of them in action or I could try and make one of these flowing water tanks to try them out The first fly is tied with the 2 under wings in that style but I wasn't impressed so the next one just the first underwing is done fat back and its seems to be a bit more controlled. BNC I'm not sure how they'll fish either although the scandis seem to love them, I've done a couple and will see how they swim in January but I think I'll end up going back to my GWG and B+Y tubes. As a fly tier I find myself doing all sorts of patterns and its only a small proportion that I'll actually fish with for more than a couple of outings. If you get a test tank rigged up let us know the resluts

apologies for hijack........
do you think these flow tanks are any real use? they just show the fly on the dangle. most of our takes are on the swing, so the flow on the fly is also from the side....just a thought
