Dave
Both flies really nice. Quite like Shadow Shrimps as a style of fly. I've only tried them in Size 10 and 12.
Have to say, I prefer the Orange one
One query - do you ever varnish the ends of the GP tippets? Think I have read this somewhere but not sure if it is essential.
Also have got to say that White UTC thread is the stuff I also like to use for tying shrimps. Am currently tying up some traditional Irish Shrimps for a Swap on another forum and it does the business for me.
Not tying anything else until I crack these pesky Irish Shrimps

I dave wits the code no. numbers for the hooks ,are the like the code p partridge doubles I'm not sure the code, I get them from veniards. If you Google sprite double hooks you will find them. Flymakers stock them too. They are almost identical to p codes. I can vouch for their strength and hooking abilities.

I always, fold and roll my tippets before tying in so the brighter colour is all the way round, and not only on top. A consequence of tying them in this way is that when in the water the tippets open up a bit and pulse nicely in the current, rather than lying stiff and flat.

Shorten up the tail and you'd have a 'killer pattern' for Winter Run Steelhead.
