Thanks for taking the time to photograph the flies. Can see where you are getting your inspiration from when tying your modern templedog style versions

Nice one Tony.
I've got a few boxes of old flies. I'll put up a few photos to see if they can be identified.

Excellent photos Tony, loving the old catchbook underneath +1 on that! I've heard/read about these 'Pool Logs' but never seen one. To borrow a dated term: "How Cool Is That?!" fae

Thanks for putting these up Tony. These old flies are works of art arent they, your grandfather must have witnessed some exceptional fishing on Kinnaird

is that a 42lber next to the Yellow Torrish Aye it is Duncan, Kinnaird was one of the best beats on the Tay for the chance to get a big fish. I'll post some more pics of the diary, the average weights of the springers are amazing

I will when I find it in the loft, a picture framed with some old flies mounted in it. There are some with Gut eyes and look as old as those ones Tony.
If I recall there is one called the Lion! I had never heard of that before. Anyone on here recall this name of a salmon fly?

Do you have a picture or a pattern I could take a gander at to see if its the same as the one in the frame?
