Greetings all, I've taken the plunge with a shooting head for the forthcoming season. I've purchased the guideline power taper, pre-cut jobby, 10-11 weight (the long one...) Any suggestions on the best shooting/running line to use with these lines. All suggestions welcome

the line is solid oval mono about .38/40 its low stretch plus shoots better than the fly line type running lines

I made oversized braid loops for mine Tony I use the rapala knot to put loops in compline and had no problems with the knot passing through rings etc.

i use a Perfection Loop and leave 2 inches of the tag sticking out this stops the knot from catching on the rod rings

I use: Guideline Compline and LRL DC - both works very well. Ken Sawada: Flat beam
The Flat B ord Compline when distance is an issue - if not the LRL will work as well.
Rapala knot for the Mono versions.
