Seeing underghillies thread on his Monkey variant reminded me I was sitting on some Monkey sub I got from Sue at Foxey Tails. I started of using 3 hairs in the wing, Bucktail, fox then the sub and yellow fox as a throat. I wasnt overly happy with the head so I omited the bucktail, still wanting a better head I then swapped the yellow fox for yellow hackle fibres a little bit more experimenting and I was happy with the result. They are tied on 3/4" tube with pearl angel over the fox and instead of peacock herl Ive used peacock crystal flash.

Not in the right order but the 1 Im happy with is on the top.

Cheers I may be just getting over picky. I just going to start the top coat of varnish now that they have had 2 coats of runny varnish which has seeped into the head in hope to hold the wing tight.
