Tied up a hot orange model after finding an old packet of hot orange hackles. Dont think it really comes out on the pic how bright this orange is, should be good for peaty water.

Excellent ties above. This is one of two (the Cascade being the other) Atlantic Salmon patterns that are really starting to 'take hold' here in the Pacific Northwest. Only 'modification' we do is shorten up the tail so it doesn't extend more than 1/4 inch beyond the bend of the hook. Reason for this is Steelhead tend to be 'short strikers' so the long tail gets you a 'nip,' not a hook-up.
