Just had an email from fishtec for 10% off all game orders for 7 days.
Enter code 'XFF10' at checkout.
Hope someone has a use for it.

Just dont buy simms waders from them. My mate bought a pair in Jan...they've leaked on 3 occasions and they wont entertain him at all. Shocking service. Surely Salmonaddict they have to fix at least within the years guarantee? Unless they have proved he is running through bramble bushes with them

Re -Simms waders, and no reflection on Fishtec. I had the same bad experience of Simms after sales some years ago. I thought at the time if they cost that much they must be good, and I committed to the full kit, waders ,boots ,and gravel guards.I did not use them that much after I bought them due to work commitments that year, and when the following season came, guess what ,they leaked.after contacting the vendor, they gave me the direct number to Simms, and they duly were returned for inspection.after many weeks, the best they would offer was a depleting warranty package whereby I had to send them another £70.00 due to the fact that the first year had expired of the 3 year warranty. This I did under protestation, but they were having none of it,that was their only offer at that time. Was not long after this, to wards the end of the year, they started leaking at the crotch seems again.by this time I was totally disillusioned and ended up buying a set of Sierras ,and only using the Simms for wild fowling. In fairness the only good thing that came out of the sad affair was the Simms Freestone wading Boots, and I will gladly replace with the same this season. A point of interest ,the marketing at that time alluded to the customer thinking that they were made in America, but the label inside the waders said made in China ,Built in America. basically the material was made in China and probably glued together in the States,Never Again,Bearing in mind the whole kit cost in excess of £300. 00 . >:(I will never buy Simms waders again. Guy's I have believed and said as much on another forum that we as anglers do get ripped of big style by the manufacturers of our equipment and I tend to look around nowadays at what other suppliers have to offer.
One example is the cost of floatation aids for fishermen when they first came out when compared to versions that you could by at a local chandler for the sailing faternity. There was a big difference then. Not too sure nowadays as the cost of the self inflating life preservers has came down a bit.

[quote author=salmonaddict board What about flyfishing/casting dvd's? £25-£30. You can buy a movie that's cost millions of pounds to produce for £10. [/quote] That just about sums it all up Robert kf
