Interesting 8-)I've managed to hit double figures for the season and looking through the records, one thing strikes me. This probably wont apply to the Tay(eg),but every fish I've actually got on the bank this time round has been caught without the need for any wading, save for a wee bit wellie wetting up to the ankles! Only 2 on spinners aswell!Odd or What? This is on the Tyne and South Tyne, how is it on your rivers? Is wading an over used facility??

Most people tend to wade to deep, even on the Tay!! Some people think the deeper they wade the more fish they will cover, most of the time i would suggest ankle depth and a nice wee short cast for first time down a pool, second time down cast a bit further, and third time down wade a little deeper and lash yer line as far as you can. On the smaller rivers more fish are frightened than caught by deep wading
