Just wonder if others have noticed that when the Cascade first came out, it appeared to have the Tail tied in as layers or Orange over Yellow.
Nowadays, many tie their Cascades with a blended tail which is often quite sparse.
Can any of the regular tiers or fishers of the Cascade please tell of their preferences one way or the other - and why? For example, layered in the Spring and blended in the backend or vice versa

Blended and sparse for me for late summer and autumn and a bit more substantial for the spring.

Blended for me with hot orange crystal hair. either long and sparse, or short and substantial, depending on conditions. Have also seen them tied with orange in the centre with yellow wrapped over in a skirt. Not to my liking though. More to the point, JC or no JC

Hey Dave back home now. Just off the ferry ;D What about the hackles Yellow first? orange first ? both wound at once? yellow first every time for me. doubled, and 2-3 turns of each. your yellow hackle should be just slightly longer than your orange one. Again this is just my preference. Dave.
