Has anyone used Mustad DL71UBLN Double Salmon Hooks? I came across them recently on the web and them seem a nice looking hook at a reasonable price of £6.99 for 25. tweedbunnet Not used them myslef, will have a look for them and see how they are.

I seen a picture of the Mustads elsewhere and thought that the point was too long in relation to the hook. Look at the ted carter enlarged image the point reaches half way along the shank and looks like a spear. It must be half an inch long :-)

It must be half an inch long :-) Longer point, may not be as pleasing on the eye as some hooks, but if it improves the hooking quality on the hook, then I can live with that ;D

Only got the email today ,but Mick Bell of Bloke rod fame/noteriety is selling some Salmon doubles at 50p each . Will be getting a couple of packs to try!
