what is the rib used on these flies? Dave will, no doubt, reveal his ribbing in due course Although it looks like fl green nylon... The original tying used fluorescent green nylon. I believe Lureflash still sells this material. Interestingly, Mo and I were discussign this earlier today and he uses various colours of sea-fishing mono-line. A key to the Editor is the white body and using a fluorescent white floss (glo-brite works well) for the body. Coupled together the fluorescent floss and rib are very striking especially in dark peaty water. I was lucky to receive some green nylon from Sandy Leventon (fly's creator) which is nearly used up Here's a few I tied with a few R-editors using fluorescent red nylon I had one memorable night this past season at Invery between 11pm-midnight hooking 1/2 dozen sea-trout and one large salmon with a two fly cast - one Editor and one R-editor. Superb

I like them red ones I tie the red one but use the green/yellow rib The rib I have used is just fluro yellow/green bulk sea fishing stuff, I can't remember where I got it now, but it was a 1000m spool for about £5 It's just a wee bit thick for the smaller sizes but looks perfect on the bartleet singles. I'm still on the lookout for 8lb ish breaking strain stuff the same colour but can't find any anywhere

Yorkshire Game Angling sells the Lureflash nylon and the "fine" size is not as fine as I'd like However, they sell small packs of green, yellow (I think), and red. Sourcing some fluorescent nylon in 4lb-8lb would be good - let me know if you find any. If it passes the blacklight test, I'll take some!!!

Tweedside tackle sell "Editor rib". I bought some and its really just a chartreuse/lime green mono approx 12lb bs. I'm looking for between 4lb and 8lb breaking strain for the smaller ones
