My son bought me a 15 ft Diawa Scott Mckenzie signature for my birthday last year, worked his socks off delivering Chinese's as well as his day job, like you I love that rod , not christened it yet on salmon , so far just trout. There again I dont catch much I just go to make up the numbers ;D Quite fancy the DTX but I canny tell him that

I must admit that I like my home made Harrison LORHIC 15'er. It is basically the same blank as the Monty and is a proper rod, great action with plenty power in the tip. And it is even better since Monty showed me how to cast with it! Really enjoy fishing with it when I can get on a river big enough. From the Dee Builnacraig

Been out most of the day practising with the lattest rod From jock Monteith, "The Monty" I had a lesson with Jock this year and first used it then, and compared to my Demon it suited me much better. First hour today was bit sloppy reajusting, but i was soon getting the timming right and keeping the backwards to forward points in check, and( ARSE IN) as i was told yesterday:) and was flinging the line out consistintly. I am very happay with it . cant wait to use it in earnest. Had a throw with the DTX yesterday aswell, and got some good advice and tips from loopy while using it, (Thanks again Loopy very kind of you to take the time), The dtx has a superb finish and i really liked using it,great rod! Just a pitty am a bit skint at the moment cause i need a 14fter tighten the belt i think and see how things are come the dtx day. Cause that will be the next rod i buy. What a diffrence the right rod can make!.

Cant fault the swift in fact its that good I bought the 13footer for the summer fishing but as we had low water most of the back end i was still using it up to the end of October with Sunrays/Collies and Skimmers. Best fish 17lb. I've had the 15 footer for 2 years so there was only one choice!
