This is a fly I tied up after seeing a tube fly tied by Robert Gillespie, where the hackles were tied in together, rather than the usual orange over yellow or vice versa. This is a technique that is often used in the tying of Irish Lough flies, especially when palmering the bodies, but its not something you see that often in salmon flies. Here are a few pics I have a few variants of this in mind, including a black front wing, as in Jimthefish's Black Bear Flamethrower, which I think will give the fly a bit more contrast. Will post the results when I get to the fly tying bench. Neil

Bonnie lookin flee mo. What camera do you use to take these pics? I use a Canon 450D, but don't profess to know what I am doing with it, but I hope to learn more over the next few months. When the pics were taken it was set on the auto Macro setting.

Its a Digital SLR, but you can take good pictures with a compact camera. The camera you have bought will be more than adequate for taking pics of your flies. Have a look at this site, it will take you through the process flyartstudio.com/wordpress/?cat=15Hope it helps, and I look forward to seeing the results .
