Here some Red Frances tubes tied on the Crayfish tubes from Eumer, which I thought might be ideal for tying the Frances tube fly on, due too their tapered profile. Here is some pictures of them. Frances tied on 22mm Brass Eumer Crayfish tube. Frances tied on 15mm Brass Eumer Crayfish tube. Neil

Here my first attempt at these ... I've used boar bristles in stead of hackle stems, they are on 16mm Caimore bottle tubes.

Well, what can I say, 1st class CB, 1st class . Can you show us a pic of an undressed Caimore bottle tube, as I have never heard of, or seen them. I will add a pic of the undressed Eumer Crayfish too, just to show the profile of the undressed tube for those who may not have seen them.

Glad you like the tubes, was rather satisfied with how they turned out myself to be honest. They are a fun tube to tie, I had a good example to work from and did little more then follow your example Can you show us a pic of an undressed Caimore bottle tube, as I have never heard of, or seen them. I will add a pic of the undressed Eumer Crayfish too, just to show the profile of the undressed tube for those who may not have seen them. Good idea, I'll sort a picture tomorrow, they are similar (if not identical) to the Veniards but with a nicer price

Thanks Dave. Here is a picture of the undressed Eumer Crayfish tubes. They are available in 2 sizes, 15mm and 22mm, and are supplied with the tube liner and tube extension.

Neil what weight are these tubes as I find some of the bottle tubes too heavy for me(loop included) and like the shape of these ? I tried to weigh them individually, but my scales aint that sensitive. I weighed the 22mm tubes, 2 at a time, and I'd say that each one weighs just under 1gram. The equivalent sized Veniard bottle tube weighs twice that at 2grams. I weighed the 15mm tubes 4 at a time, and the 4 weighed 2grams, so half a gram or so each. The 15mm Veniard brass bottle weighs in at 1gram. So the Eumer Crayfish tubes are half the weight of the equivalent Veniard brass bottle tubes.
